Lyme disease is a controversial, hot button subject these days. Testing is poor- people feel they have all the symptoms but can’t get a diagnosis. Then they wonder if they need antibiotics. Being a certified uprooting Lyme practitioner (someone who helps you heal naturally from Lyme and Lyme-like illness.)
I can earnestly say that in most situations natural healing works best! This is something I would never have believed before I was forced to walk down this road myself. But seeing is believing as the old saying goes and for myself it has been seeing not just my own health return after 15 years of a mystery illness, I now have had a hand in helping several hundred people recover from debilitating Lyme, autoimmune and Lyme like illness, naturally. Collectively, my colleagues and I who also work in this space have seen thousands of people recover naturally from these illnesses.
So who needs antibiotics and who doesn’t?
This answer can be complicated but generally speaking if you have been infected (or suspect it) in the last 3 months you are more likely to respond to antibiotics. Or if you have a very serious situation you are facing- you can try Doxycycline for 30- 60 days if you can find a doctor willing to prescribe it, but if you are not noticing many benefits in that time, or you’ve been sick for longer than 3 months you will more than likely do much better switching over to natural remedies . Some really have no desire to even try the antibiotics with their side effects, So for those people, we generally will start right off the bat with the natural remedies.
What does natural Lyme recovery look like?
We use herbal remedies that have been tried and true over the years, as well as we are now pioneering a new liposomal remedy that we are seeing much-improved results and with less “ die-off “ reactions. Through taking the time to educate our patients and clients on effective detoxification and use of herbal remedies, it is so rewarding to see people who have “ tried everything” without full success, finally get the results they have waited so long for.
So why do natural, herbal remedies often times just work better than antibiotics?
There are many reasons but some of the main ones are that plants know how to fight off serious invaders without nuking their allies in the process. In their Innate intelligence, they know how to break through the “armor” around superbugs like Lyme and get into their “nests”, their hiding places. This is the reason why antibiotics can either fail to begin with or why people relapse after withdrawing antibiotics. Antibiotics just don’t get into the hiding places as well as the herbs do. Antibiotics are also specific to certain bacteria whereas the herbs are broad-spectrum in nature and will effectively take out a wide variety of organisms that we can’t find on the testing.
The herbs also kill the persistent, resistant forms of Lyme and other superbugs like strep and staph residing in the body. It is also safer to use the herbal remedies over the long haul which is a key strategy in effective Lyme treatment. If a person chooses to try antibiotics, I find that taking herbal remedies alongside the pharmaceutical helps them to work better, and prevents the formation of resistant bacteria. Herbs also help to heal the gut and the immune system which antibiotics definitely do not do well.
